2012 California State Science Fair

The 2012 California State Science Fair was held on April 30 - May 1. This year the Fair took place entirely within the confines of the California Science Center located in Exposition Park, just south of downtown Los Angeles. This year we had 993 participants from 421 schools throughout the State presenting projects in competition for over $50,000 in total awards.

• May 1: Awards Announced
• May 24: First photographs posted: all category awards. More to come shortly.
• May 29: Photos of all five major fair awards are now posted.
• May 31: All Special and Recognition Awards photos are now posted. This completes the set of photos of all awards presented at the Fair, whether during the Awards Ceremony or during the judging. Many more photos are in process and will be posted in the coming weeks.
• May 31: All award checks were mailed today. If you do not have yours in a few days, contact us immediately.
• June 13: All participant portraits posted.
• August 13: All Judging Interview Period photographs have now been posted.
• August 16: 48 participants named as Broadcom MASTERS Semifinalists.
• August 29: 6 participants named as Broadcom MASTERS Finalists.
• October 2: Gilmartin and Baral win the top two awards at the Broadcom MASTERS competition.
