The 2001 California State Science Fair was held on May 21-22 in the California Science Center (the current host of the Fair) and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (the original host of the Fair). Similar to recent years, this year there were 952 participants from 364 schools throughout the State presenting projects in competition for $40,000 in awards.
