2016 California State Science Fair

The 2016 California State Science Fair was held on May 23-24 within the California Science Center located in Exposition Park, just south of downtown Los Angeles.

This year there were 941 participants from 421 schools throughout the State presenting 845 projects in competition for nearly $60,000 in total awards.

Feb 20: Project Allocations for all affiliates
Feb 24: Application directions with deadlines, by fair.
Mar 14: Changes since last year
Mar 18: The Application Packet is now available for all participants to download.
Mar 18: The online Application Process is now available for all students to submit their applications.
Apr 30: Acceptances announced for all of the projects which will be in the Fair.
May 4: Category assignments announced
May 20: Science Fair Teacher of the Year Finalists announced: Elizabeth Conrad, Debbie Culley, Gian Grant, Cathy Grimes, Katherine Huang, and Nikki Malhotra.
May 24: Awards Announced
June 28: All award checks have now been mailed. If you do not have yours in a few days, contact us immediately.
July 5: First Photographs Posted. Category Awards photos now available. Other photographs from all ceremonies and the judging interview period are in process.
July 29: All participant portraits posted.
September 6: 46 participants named as Broadcom MASTERS Semifinalists.
September 20: 8 participants named as Broadcom MASTERS Finalists.
November 1: 5 participants win Broadcom MASTERS Awards.
